Help with Citeless.
Most questions are answered below. For anything else, email support@tayloredlabs.com and a person will reply, usually within a day. If your deadline is close, say so in the subject line.
Which tickets does Citeless handle?
Parking tickets from the four Austin-metro issuers that accept a written dispute:
| Issuer | Deadline | How the dispute is sent |
|---|---|---|
| City of Austin | On or before the appearance date printed on the ticket | Email to the Municipal Court, opened in your Mail app with the letter and attachments |
| UT Austin | 12 calendar days from the ticket date | The online appeal (UT EID) or the no-EID appeal form, with a copy button for every field |
| City of San Marcos | 10 calendar days from the ticket date | Email to the Municipal Court, opened in your Mail app |
| Texas State | 10 working days from the ticket date | Level One appeal by email; copy buttons for the Parking Portal if it goes to the committee |
Not covered: disabled-parking tickets (criminal matters in Texas), Round Rock and Cedar Park (decided in person before a judge), and tickets from outside the Austin metro. Citeless recognises the first two and tells you where to go instead of writing a letter.
The scan read something wrong
Every field on the "Check the details" screen can be edited before you continue, and fields the scan wasn't sure about are marked with a question mark. If the photo was blurry, go back and take it again flat, close and without glare, or tap "Enter the details by hand". The citation number, the issuer and the date are the three that matter most; check them against the ticket.
Citeless said it couldn't find a defense
That means nothing you answered yes to is an argument the issuers accept. Reasons like "I was only there a few minutes" or "other cars weren't ticketed" don't work, and we won't charge you to send a letter that will lose. If you remembered something, open the ticket from your list and change your answers.
How do I send it?
For email issuers, the Send step opens Mail with the recipient, subject, letter and your evidence attached; you press send. If your phone has no Mail account set up, you get your email app via a link plus copy buttons, and you attach the photos yourself. For portals, open the issuer's page from the Send step and paste each field with its copy button. Tap "I've sent it" afterwards so the ticket shows as sent and the reminders stop.
How will I know the outcome?
The issuer replies to you directly, by email or through the portal, never through Citeless. Austin says a decision can take up to 90 business days. Citeless doesn't track outcomes.
Purchases, credits and refunds
- One dispute is $1.99; five are $4.99. You pay only after reading the opening of your letter.
- Credits never expire and follow your Apple account to a new iPhone through iCloud. If they're missing after a reinstall, make sure you're signed in to the same iCloud account and give it a minute.
- Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue them ourselves.
- A ticket Citeless can't help with (no defense found, or a criminal citation) is never charged.
Deleting my data
Everything lives on your phone. Delete a ticket from its page in the app to remove its photos and letter, or delete the app to remove all of it. Your credit count stays in your own iCloud storage, which you can clear in Settings. There's nothing on our servers to delete, because there are none.
Is this legal advice?
No. Citeless is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. It helps you prepare and send your own written dispute; the issuing agency decides the result. The ticket in your hand is the final word on its own deadline and instructions.
